AIM TOGETHER
What is the Aim Together conference?
The mission of the movement for equity in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is to:
- Organize an annual conference, complete with networking opportunities, entitled Aim Together, open to high school and CEGEP girls with an interest in STEM;
- Offer a responsive environment for young women to obtain more information about a potential future in STEM;
- Provide the opportunity to connect high school and CEGEP girls to successful and professional women in the fields of STEM.
In essence, the goal of the movement for equity in STEM, spearheaded by the Aim Together conference, is to brand STEM fields, which are thought of primarily as masculine domains, as welcoming to women, in the hopes that more girls will consider STEM as a viable career path.
With this in mind, it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we invite you to the second edition of our event Aim Together, organized by the non-profit organization CRC Robotics. One of our missions is to encourage and inspire girls to pursue higher studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This free event will be held at École de technologie supérieure on Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 4pm to 8pm. You will have the chance to socialize and discuss with professional women, recent graduates, and current university students to get more information about your potential future in STEM. Our goal is to brand STEM fields, which are thought of primarily as masculine domains, as welcoming to women, in the hopes that our attendees will consider STEM as a viable career path.
