Are you a girl or do you know a girl studying in high school or Cégep? Thinking about a future in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)? Not sure what career path you want to take yet and want to discover your options? Do you want to explore the types of careers you can have with a passion for STEM? If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then we have the ultimate networking event for you!
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we invite you to the first edition of our event For Girls, From Women, organized by the non-profit organization, CRC Robotics. This free event will be held at Concordia University on Saturday, November 25th, 2017, from 11am to 4pm. The organization’s mandate is to coordinate an annual multidisciplinary robotics competition for high school and Cégep students. One of our missions is to encourage girls to pursue higher studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). That said, on November 25th, we are hosting the event For Girls, From Women with the goal of inspiring girls to consider a career in STEM. The event is open to any high school or Cégep female student interested in learning more about these fields. You will have the chance to socialize and discuss with professional women, recent graduates, and current university students to get more information about your potential future in STEM. Our goal is to brand STEM fields, which are thought of primarily as masculine environments, as welcoming to women, in the hopes that our attendees will consider STEM as a viable career path.
